KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Commerce Bank customers are encouraged to log in and verify their accounts.
Dozens of bank customers reported deposit and payment problems Friday morning.
Many customers said they contacted the bank after discovering that their paychecks were not deposited into their accounts. They reported that some payment transactions were not processed either.
In a statement to customers, Commerce Bank said it was aware of the issue and said it was an issue with the business’ overnight processing.
“We apologize for the inconvenience; we are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience; we know this has created challenges for our customers,” Commerce Bank posted on Facebook.
A Commerce Bank spokesperson said they resolved the issue around 1 p.m.
He warned that customers could experience brief interruptions to online banking and mobile banking connections as the company completes system processing on Friday.
The bank is asking customers affected by the issue to visit a bank branch or call customer service at 877-278-1744 for assistance in resolving the issue.
